Beasiswa Pemerintah Brunai Darussalam Untuk Mahasiswa Asing

Beasiswa Brunai Darussalam. Pemerintah Brunai Darussalam membuka kesempatan bagi mahasiswa asing untuk belajar di Brunai Darussalam. Berikut ini adalah keterangannya:

With His Majesty’s consent, the Government of Brunei Darussalam is offering annual scholarships under a special scholarship award scheme, commencing in 2010/2011 academic session:

Tenable in Brunei Darussalam, the aim of the Scholarship awards is to provide students, with the opportunity to study at Universiti Brunei Darussalam [UBD], Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali [UNISSA] and Institut Teknologi Brunei [ITB]. The academic year for UBD, UNISSA and ITB commences in July / August 2010.

1. ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be citizens of ASEAN, OIC, Commonwealth Member Countries and others and must be between the ages of 18 – 25 at the commencement of the academic session for which they are applying foradmission. However, under exceptional case, the age limit requirement may be waived for candidates who are applying for Masters and PhD Programmes.

The awards are NOT eligible to Brunei Permanent Residents and foreigners residing in Brunei Darussalam for more than three months.

The Scholarship award is normally tenable according to the duration of the specific programme which is four years for an Honours First Degree or one to two years for a Master’s Degree or three years for a  Doctoral programme at UBD, UNISSA and ITB, two and a half years for HND at ITB on full-time basis.

2. TENURE OF SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship award is subject to the scholar maintaining satisfactory conduct and satisfactory progress in the scholar`s studies (this requires the scholar to maintain an active registration status by passing the prescribed semester examinations and obtaining the minimum course credit units).

3. TERMS OF AWARD

  • The scholarship covers
  • Tuition fees.
  • Air-tickets by economy class for which the scholar will only be provided on the following occasions: from the scholar’s home country to Brunei Darussalam at the
    commencement of the programme; from Brunei Darussalam to the scholar’s home country after the completion of the programme.
  • Free medical and dental treatment at any Government hospital subject to conditions stipulated by the Ministry of Health. However there will be administrative charges for every consultation (currently at B$3.00), admission to class A1, A2 and A3 wards and charges for certain dental treatment as stated in the schedule 1 Dental Treatment issued by the Ministry of Health.
  • Other allowances payable will include:  Monthly personal allowance of B$500.00. and Annual Book Allowance of B$600.00.

4. PROGRAMME OFFERRED

The scholarships are offered for Bachelors, Masters, and Phd Degree Program.

Completed application forms, together with certified copies of relevant
certificates and documents, must be returned to the Technical Assistance Department not later than 28 February 2010.

The awarding body reserves the right to reject any applicant. No award will be made if there is no applicant of sufficient merit. The decision on selection of any candidate is final. Equiries or disputes regarding its decisions will not be entertained.

Beasiswa Penelitian Ph.D Sosio – Legal Jarak Sebagai Bahan Bakar Alternatif

Beasiswa riset Ph.D. Ph.D. POSITION, Socio-legal studies in “JARAK: the commoditization of an alternative biofuel crop in Indonesia” at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Development (Faculty of Law).

Title PhD project:
“Claims and facts on land, water and environment: socio-legal issues in jatropha cultivation in Eastern Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Central Kalimantan”

Description
Jatropha is a plant that is promoted as a new, alternative biofuel crop. Its introduction in Indonesia by private and public actors is supported by new policies and regulation, but also evokes protests and conflicts. Controversial issues on jatropha include its environmental sustainability, and questions whether land for jatropha is available and can be classified as `marginal’, how jatropha cultivation can be balanced with food production, rights of laborers and small holders, and how water resources of the local population can be protected. The answers are partly context specific, partly a matter of nation-wide regulation. This PhD research is a combination of social science and law, including empirical research on practical consequences of jatropha projects and perspectives and interests of various types of actors involved. Aims of this PhD research are to create an overview of laws and policies pertaining to jatropha, analyze their implementation and effects in practice, indicate gaps in this legal framework and identifying dispute resolution mechanisms around the jatropha commodity chain. Field research is planned in two sites, in the provinces Central Kalimantan and Eastern Nusa Tenggara.

Starting date: 1 May 2010.

Background
This is a PhD position in the research cluster “JARAK: the commoditization of an alternative biofuel crop in Indonesia”. The interdisciplinary cluster team will conduct research on policy, legislation, technical crop qualities and production possibilities, and on the socio-economic impact of Jatropha cultivation in Indonesia. It is part of a broader research program funded by NWO and KNAW on “Agriculture beyond Food”. The cluster includes 6 projects carried out by two Post-Doc researchers and four PhD researchers from Indonesia and the Netherlands. JARAK is a joint activity of 5 Dutch academic institutes with their Indonesian partner institutes. Three other PhD positions (international scholarships) for this program are open at Wageningen UR, the Institute of Cultural Anthropology of the Leiden University’s Social Science Faculty and at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta.

Tasks
• To engage in supervised scientific research that will ultimately result in a doctoral thesis;
• To carry out a systematic literature analysis related to the relevant PhD;
• To conduct field research in Indonesia;
• To prepare and submit research output for publication in peer-reviewed international scientific journals;
• To participate in the other activities of the Van Vollenhoven Institute in Leiden.
• To assist the program coordinator.

Requirements
• Master degree in law and/or social sciences, with demonstrated interest in law, governance and development
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English; good command of Bahasa Indonesia is desirable;
• Demonstrated research experience
• Ability and willingness to carry out empirical research and stay for extended periods in Indonesia;
• Keen interest in interdisciplinary socio-legal research methods and approaches;
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to support other activities of the Van Vollenhoven Institute;

Appointment
The successful applicant will be appointed for a fixed-term period of 4 years, with continuation dependent upon an evaluation after 12 months. The gross monthly salary will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement of Dutch Universities for academic personnel, and will range from € 2.042,- per month in the first year, gradually rising to € 2.612,- in the final year.

Beasiswa Singapore ASEM DUO Fellowship

Beasiswa Singapore. The Asia-Europe Meeting’s (ASEM) DUO Fellowship Fund aims to promote student exchanges between European and Asian ASEM member countries. Under this fund, the DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship is awarded by the Singapore Government to Singapore and ASEAN students studying in the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore Management University (SMU). The Award is also open to students from European ASEM countries (who come from universities with fee waiver arrangements with NTU, NUS and SMU)

The Award, based on merit, is for a pair of exchanges between a university in Singapore and its respective partner university in Europe in any academic field. Each student will be awarded a maximum of 4,000 Euros for one semester of up to four months, which covers airfare, accommodation and living expenses.

There is no bond imposed by the Singapore Government for the Award, which is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Terms of Award

  • The ASEM DUO Exchange Fellowship Award is tenable for one semester of up to four months.
  • Each recipient will be awarded a maximum of 4,000 Euros that covers airfare, accommodation and living expenses. No additional assistance will be provided for other expenses.
  • Recipients need not pay any tuition fees to the foreign university but continue to pay the normal fees to the university they are from.
  • There is no bond imposed on the recipient by the Singapore Government.
  • The Singapore Government may, at its discretion, waive any of the conditions of the Award

Applicants should satisfy the following criteria:

  • Singaporean students in NTU, NUS and SMU.
  • Students from other ASEAN countries that are members of ASEM (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) studying in  NTU, NUS and SMU and who are not prevented by terms of their scholarship from going on exchange programmes.
  • Students from European ASEM countries who come from universities in European ASEM countries which have tuition fee waiver arrangements with NTU, NUS and SMU
  • Students have to be on full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course.

9. Tinggi badan tidak kurang dari 163 Cm bagi pria dan untuk wanita tidak kurang dari 155 Cm.

10. Belum pernah menikah dan sanggup tidak menikah selama dalam status beasiswa TNI (Kuliah di PT) sampai dengan mengikuti pendidikan pertama (Dikma).

11. Sesuai jurusan (kesarjanaan) yang dibutuhkan dari perguruan tinggi yang ditentukan.

12. Mendapatkan surat rekomendasi dari Dekan. Direktur Fakultas/Jurusan dilampiri transkrip (daftar nilai) studi berikut indek prestasi kumulatif (IPK).

13. Mengajukan permohonan secara tertulis untuk memperoleh beasiswa Ikatan Dinas TNI kepada Panglima TNI U.p. Aspers, Mabes TNI Cilangkap Jakarta Timur.

14. Sanggup menjalani Ikatan Dinas Pertama (IDP) selama 10 tahun sejak diangkat menjadi Perwira TNI.

15. Sanggup ditempatkan dimana saja, diseluruh wilayah Republik Indonesia setelah selesai pendidikan.

Beasiswa Sampoerna Program MBA di Luar Negeri

Beasiswa Sampoerna. Sampoerna Foundation menyediakan satu (1) beasiswa untuk mengejar Master of Business Administration di universitas terkemuka di luar negeri. Setelah menyelesaikan program, penerima beasiswa diwajibkan untuk kembali ke Indonesia untuk menerapkann pengetahuannya.

Sampoerna Foundation Beasiswa MBA Luar Negeri terdiri dari pilihan berikut:

  1. 1. Sampoerna Foundation MBA di Amerika
  2. Australian Education International – Sampoerna Foundation MBA di Australia
  3. Ambassade de France en Indonésie – Sampoerna Foundation MBA di Perancis
  4. British Council – Sampoerna Foundation MBA di Inggris
  5. Singapore Education – Sampoerna Foundation MBA di Singapura

I. Syarat-Syarat Dasar

Pemohon harus memenuhi SEMUA persyaratan berikut:

  1. Warga Negara Indonesia yang berada di bawah usia 35 tahun ketika mengajukan aplikasi
  2. Memegang gelar Sarjana lokal dari berbagai disiplin dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif minimal 3,00 (pada skala 4,00).
  3. Memiliki minimal 2 tahun penuh waktu pengalaman kerja profesional setelah menyelesaikan gelar sarjana.
  4. Saat ini tidak terdaftar pada program pasca sarjana, atau memperoleh gelar Master atau setara.
  5. Tidak lulus dari perguruan tinggi luar negeri, kecuali berada di atas beasiswa penuh.
  6. Tidak menerima Beasiswa setara lainnya atau beasiswa menawarkan manfaat lain yang serupa atau pada saat penghargaan.
  7. Telah mendaftar pada universitas yang direkomendasikan oleh Sampoerna Foundation untuk tahun akademik 2010/2011 dengan tanggal penutupan aplikasi beasiswa ini (1 Februari 2010).
  8. Menyampaikan hasil TOEFL / IELTS dan GMAT dengan skor minimum yang diperlukan oleh universitas yang dipilih.
  9. Memiliki motivasi untuk kembali ke Indonesia dan bekerja di Indonesia setelah menyelesaikan program MBA.

Setiap pemohon terbukti memiliki informasi palsu di / formulir permohonan atau dokumen-dokumen yang dilampirkan di dalamnya akan segera didiskualifikasi.

II. Persyaratan Lanjut
Pemohon juga harus:

  1. Menunjukkan potensi kepemimpinan dan kepentingan dalam dan komitmen masyarakat dan pembangunan nasional.
  2. Memenuhi persyaratan untuk mendapatkan visa pelajar dari negara yang ditunjuk atas penerimaan beasiswa.

Sesuai dengan penerapan aturan beasiswa dan peraturan yang ditetapkan oleh Sampoerna Foundation, partner institusi untuk masing-masing program, dan universitas.

III. Lingkup Beasiswa
1. Beasiswa meliputi berikut:

  • GMAT dan TOEFL / IELTS penggantian, satu kali saja, berdasarkan faktur asli;
  • *Universitas biaya pendaftaran, untuk sampai dengan 2 (dua) universitas;
  • * Student visa application fee;
  • * Return tiket pesawat dari Jakarta ke tempat studi;
  • * Biaya pendidikan, selama masa studi;
  • * Living uang saku, untuk mendukung biaya hidup selama masa studi;
  • * Sastra uang saku, untuk membeli buku pelajaran yang diperlukan untuk belajar.

2. Beasiswa ini ditujukan untuk full-time / studi kelas biasa saja.
3. Penerima beasiswa tidak diizinkan untuk melakukan segala bentuk pekerjaan setiap saat selama studi.

IV. Lama Beasiswa

  1. Beasiswa diberikan untuk maksimum 2 (dua) tahun, atau seperti yang dinyatakan oleh universitas.
  2. Penerima beasiswa diwajibkan untuk menyelesaikan / studinya dalam waktu 2 (dua) tahun. Kegagalan untuk menyelesaikan studi dalam jangka waktu ini akan menghasilkan dikenakan penalti dimana penerima beasiswa harus kembali 50% dari total jumlah dana beasiswa yang sudah dicairkan.
  3. Kelanjutan dari beasiswa tunduk pada memuaskan sarjana akademis maupun non-akademis kemajuan.

V. Berhenti Studi
Penerima beasiswa tidak berhak untuk berhenti studi selain rehat semester dijadwalkan oleh universitas tanpa persetujuan tertulis sebelumnya dari universitas dan Sampoerna Foundation.

VI. Ketenagakerjaan

Sampoerna Foundation tidak mewajibkan penerima beasiswa untuk bekerja bagi Sampoerna Foundation dan afiliasinya atau organisasi pendukung namun ada kewajiban bagi penerima beasiswa atau Sampoerna Foundation untuk terlibat dalam bentuk pekerjaan di masa depan.
Setelah selesai studi, penerima beasiswa diwajibkan untuk kembali dan bekerja di Indonesia selama 5 (lima) tahun berturut-turut menyumbangkan ketrampilan dan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari studi MBA untuk pembangunan negara.

VII. Penalti

  1. Sampoerna Foundation akan mengenakan sanksi bagi yang peserta yang memberikan data-data yang tidak sesuai dengan persyaratan dan ketentuan beasiswa, termasuk namun tidak eksklusif untuk akademis dan non-akademis dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan-kegiatan wajib. Hukuman dapat berupa pengurangan dana, dana penangguhan, atau penghentian dana beasiswa.
  2. Apabila penerima beasiswa memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri dari skema beasiswa, dana yang sudah dicairkan oleh Sampoerna Foundation sebagai bagian dari cakupan beasiswa harus benar-benar dilunasi oleh penerima beasiswa.

VIII. Penghentian

  1. Beasiswa akan segera diakhiri apabila:
    * Para penerima beasiswa terbukti telah memalsukan informasi dalam formulir aplikasi, atau,
    * Para penerima beasiswa ini dipecat dari program studi atau dikeluarkan dari universitas; atau,
    * Para penerima beasiswa terlibat dalam kegiatan ilegal atau kriminal.
  2. Beasiswa akan dihentikan apabila penerima beasiswa tidak lulus akademis dan non akademis evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh Sampoerna Foundation setiap 6 (enam) bulan dan gagal untuk memperbaiki / penampilannya yang diberikan dalam masa percobaan.

IX. Tugas dan Kewajiban Lainnya

Penerima beasiswa harus:

  1. Bertindak sesuai dengan Sampoerna Foundation aturan dan peraturan, serta orang-orang dari universitas.
  2. Hadir dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Sampoerna Foundation.
  3. Berpartisipasi aktif dalam program pengembangan pribadi, seperti:
    * Kegiatan sosial, yang akan dilakukan oleh masing-masing universitas atau organisasi komunitas lokal di mana sarjana tinggal, selama minimal 36 jam per tahun ajaran.
    * Program Orientasi, yang akan membantu penerima beasiswa untuk beradaptasi dengan masyarakat setempat, dan untuk memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik Sampoerna Foundation visi dan misi.
  4. Berpartisipasi aktif dalam program pengembangan profesional, seperti program magang.
  5. Selama program studi, penerima beasiswa diharapkan untuk menjaga korespondensi secara teratur dengan Sampoerna Foundation untuk melaporkan / dia akademis maupun non-akademis kemajuan.
  6. Setelah berhasil menyelesaikan program, penerima beasiswa diharapkan untuk bergabung dengan Ikatan Alumni SF dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam program-program dan kegiatan.
  7. Kembali dan bekerja di Indonesia selama 5 (lima) tahun berturut-turut setelah selesai studi untuk menyumbangkan keahlian dan pengetahuan yang didapat untuk pengembangan negara.
  8. Berpartisipasi dalam Skema Kontribusi Alumni, dan di lain program dan kegiatan wajib seperti yang dijelaskan di sini atau di masa depan.

Beasiswa Sampoerna Untuk Studi S2 di UNSW Australia

Beasiswa Sampoerna . PT. Rio Tinto Indonesia bekerjasama dengan Sampoerna Foundation menyediakan satu (1) beasiswa penuh bagi individu yang memenuhi syarat untuk mengejar gelar Master dalam Ilmu Sosial, Sains, atau Commerce di University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.

SYARAT BEASISWA

  1. Warga Negara Indonesia, pemegang KTP Sulawesi Tengah atau Sulawesi Tenggara dengan usia maksimum 35 tahun ketika mengajukan aplikasi.
  2. Memegang gelar sarjana lokal dari berbagai disiplin dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif minimal 3,00 (pada skala 4,00).
  3. Setelah pemohon melewati semua tahap seleksi, para calaon penerima beasiswa harus dapat menyerahkan hasil tes bahasa Inggris yang diperlukan (TOEFL / IELTS) dan Graduate Admission Test yang diperlukan untuk mendaftar:
    * International TOEFL dengan skor minimal 577 (PBT) atau 233 (CBT) atau 90 (IBT), ATAU
    * International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum 6,5
  4. Tidak mempunyai gelar Master atau setara
  5. Tidak lulus dari perguruan tinggi luar negeri, kecuali menerima beasiswa penuh.
  6. Tidak menerima beasiswa setara lainnya atau yang serupa atau pada saat penghargaan.
  7. Menunjukkan bahwa tanpa beasiswa ini, pemohon tidak mampu membayar Program Pascasarjana Luar Negeri.
  8. Mahasiswa program pasca sarjana di universitas lokal yang ingin mentransfer studi untuk UNSW dipersilahkan untuk mendaftar.
  9. Guru, dosen dan pegawai negeri sipil dipersilakan untuk mendaftar.

  1. Biaya Kuliah dan asuransi kesehatan selama maksimum 2 tahun program studi di UNSW.
  2. Biaya hidup dan uang literatur.
  3. Satu tiket pesawat ulang-alik: Sulawesi – Sydney – Sulawesi.

Beasiswa Pembinaan Sumber Daya Manusia Nurul Fikri 2010

Beasiswa Pembinaan Sumber Daya Manusia Nurul Fikri 2010. Program Pembinaan Sumber Daya Manusia Strategis (PPSDMS) Nurul Fikri memberikan beasiswa dan pembinaan bagi 162 mahasiswa terpilih di 7 PTN di 5 kota, yaitu Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Gajahmada, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Airlangga, serta Institut Pertanian Bogor.

Syarat utamanya, pendaftar adalah mahasiswa S1 reguler dari kelima PTN tersebut, dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) sekurang-kurangnya 3,00 dan Indeks Prestasi Semester (IPS) sekurang-kurangnya 2,75 sejak awal kuliah.

Komponen beasiswa ini meliputi fasilitas asrama, bermacam pelatihan, uang Rp 300.000 per bulan dan lain-lainnya. Jumlah peserta yang akan diterima antara lain:

  • Regional 1 Jakarta: 30 orang mahasiswa putra dan 30 orang mahasiswa putri UI
  • Regional 2 Bandung: 35 orang mahasiswa ITB dan UNPAD
  • Regional 3 Yogyakarta: 30 orang mahasiswa UGM
  • Regional 4 Surabaya: 35 orang mahasiswa ITS dan UNAIR (khusus Ilmu Sosial)
  • Regional 5 Bogor: 30 orang mahasiswa IPB

Beasiswa Fujitsu Program Kepemimpinan Global 2010

Beasiswa Fujitsu. Fujitsu membuka pendaftaran program beasiswa manajemen kepemimpinan global di Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS) periode 2010 melalui program East-West Leaders Program (EWKLP). Program ini  yang bertujuan menyiapkan generasi baru pemimpin bisnis  lewat pembelajaran nilai dan budaya yang berbeda dalam bisnis global.

Pendaftaran beasiswa terbuka hingga 10 Maret 2010, dilanjutkan dengan wawancara pada April 2010 dan pemilihan peserta pada Mei 2010.

JAIMS EWKLP 2010 Fall Term ini akan berlangsung mulai 11 Oktober 2010 hingga 6 Januari 2011 di Hawaii, AS dan Jepang. Program EWKLP menggabungkan praktik-praktik terbaik dari Timur dan Barat dengan format pembelajaran intensif. Setelah masa perkuliahan di Hawaii, peserta akan diundang ke Jepang untuk mengikuti berbagai kegiatan terkait kebudayaan, pendalaman tentang Fujitsu dan pemberian penghargaan.

Beasiswa JAIMS EWKLP ini yang mencakup biaya perkuliahan, transportasi, asuransi kesehatan dan uang saku untuk biaya hidup. Persyaratan peserta sarjana dari semua latar belakang, dengan IPK minimal 3.0, mencapai nilai TOEFL minimum 577/233/90 (paper/computer/internet), atau TOEIC minimum 750 atau IELTS 6.5, memiliki pengalaman kerja penuh waktu minimum selama tiga tahun, diutamakan lima tahun.

Beasiswa Darmasiswa Bagi Mahasiswa Asing Belajar Bahasa dan Budaya Indonesia

Darmasiswa adalah program beasiswa yang ditawarkan kepada semua mahasiswa asing dari negara-negara yang memiliki hubungan diplomatik dengan Indonesia untuk belajar Bahasa Indonesia, seni, musik dan kerajinan. Peserta dapat memilih salah satu dari 45 universitas yang berbeda di berbagai kota di Indonesia. Program ini diselenggarakan oleh Departemen Pendidikan Nasional (Depdiknas) bekerjasama dengan Departemen Luar Negeri (DFA).

Program Darmasisini dimulai pada tahun 1974 sebagai bagian dari ASEAN (Perhimpunan Bangsa-Bangsa Asia Tenggara) Namun, pada tahun 1976 program ini diperluas untuk mencakup mahasiswa dari negara lain seperti Australia, Kanada, Perancis, Jerman, Hungaria, Jepang, Meksiko, Belanda, Norwegia, Polandia, Swedia, dan Amerika Serikat. Pada awal 90-an, program ini diperluas lebih lanjut untuk mencakup semua negara yang memiliki hubungan diplomatik dengan Indonesia. Sampai saat ini, jumlah negara yang berpartisipasi dalam program ini lebih dari 75 negara.

Tujuan utama dari program Darmasiswa adalah untuk mempromosikan dan meningkatkan minat terhadap bahasa dan budaya Indonesia di kalangan pemuda dari negara-negara lain. Hal ini juga dirancang untuk menyediakan link budaya kuat dan saling pengertian antara negara-negara peserta.

Darmasiswa RI Program ini dilakukan dalam 2 skema, yaitu:

  • Program Regular 1 (Satu) Tahun
    Program Reguler Satu Tahun merupakan satu tahun program beasiswa yang ditawarkan kepada mahasiswa asing dari negara-negara yang memiliki hubungan diplomatik dengan Indonesia untuk belajar bahasa Indonesia dan Seni (musik tradisional, tari tradisional, dan kerajinan Indonesia) di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia.
  • Program Regular 6 (Enam) Bulan
    Program Regular enam bulan adalah enam bulan program beasiswa yang ditawarkan kepada mahasiswa asing dari negara-negara yang memiliki hubungan diplomatik dengan Indonesia untuk belajar bahasa Indonesia di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia.

Tunjangan bulanan akan diterima oleh peserta adalah Rp 1.500.000,00 (satu juta lima ratus ribu rupiah), dan akan ditransfer ke Universitas / perguruan tinggi tempat mereka belajar.

Peserta disarankan untuk membawa cukup uang dalam dollar AS untuk biaya tambahan tak terduga di Indonesia.

KUALIFIKASI DARI PEMOHON

  1. Mengisi formulir
  2. Tidak lebih dari 35 tahun
  3. Menyelesaikan pendidikan menengah atau yang setara
  4. Fotokopi transkrip
  5. Dalam kesehatan yang baik seperti yang dibuktikan oleh Sertifikat kesehatan
  6. Foto berwarna ukuran paspor (5 buah)
  7. Halaman penuh salinan paspor berlaku minimal 18 bulan dari waktu kedatangan di Indonesia
  8. Mampu berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris dan memiliki pengetahuan dasar tentang bidang yang mereka mengajukan

PROSEDUR
Pemohon harus mendaftar melalui prosedur berikut:

  1. Kedutaan Besar Indonesia / Konsulat Jenderal di negara tempat tinggal.
  2. Kunjungi situs webnya di: www.darmasiswa.diknas.go.id , pemohon harus memberitahukan ke Kedutaan Besar Indonesia / Konsulat Jenderal sebelum mendaftar secara online.

Beasiswa S2 SCG Foundation di Chulalongkorn University Thailand

Beasiswa S2 SCG Foundation. Siam Cement Group atau SCG Foundation membuka kesempatan beasiswa penuh bagi yang ingin melanjutkan studinya melalui program Master of Arts Program International Development Studies atau MAIDS di Chulalongkorn University untuk tahun akademik 2010-2011.

Saat ini, program tersebut masih terbuka penuh untuk para pegawai negeri, mahasiswa, dan pendaftar lain dari berbagai latar belakang instansi lainnya di enam negara Asia Tenggara, yaitu Thailand, Vietnam, Kamboja, Laos, Indonesia, dan Filipina. Pada tahun-tahun mendatang, program beasiswa ini kemungkinan akan dibatasi hanya untuk kalangan pegawai negeri atau pemerintah saja.

SCG Foundation dan program MAIDS akan mendistribusikan satu beasiswa untuk tiap negara. Batas waktu aplikasi pendaftarannya dibuka sampai 31 Maret 2010.

Berikut ini informasi lengkap tentang beasiswa S2 SCG Foundation di Chulalongkorn University Thailand :

The SCG Foundation is pleased to grant up to 6 full scholarships for individuals wishing to study at the Master of Arts Program in International Development Studies (MAIDS) at Chulalongkorn University for the upcoming 2010-2011 academic year.

Please note that in previous years the scholarship was limited to full-time government employees or civil servants, but it is now open to non-governmental workers, students, and other individuals with a background in development, as well as government employees.

1. Eligibility (6 Scholarships)

Scholarships are open to government workers, non-profit sector employees, students and other individuals with a background in development from each of the following Southeast Asian countries:

  1. Thailand
  2. Vietnam
  3. Cambodia
  4. Laos
  5. Indonesia
  6. Philippines

The SCG Foundation and the MAIDS programme will seek to distribute one scholarship per country.

2. Scholarship Coverage

I) Living Expenses

  • Roundtrip airfare (up to 25,000 baht)
  • Housing (5,000 baht/month)
  • Food (8,000 baht/month)

2) Education Costs

  • Tuition Fees (Thai Scholar: 252,000 baht; International Scholar: 337,500 baht)
  • Workshop and/or Fieldtrips (15,000 baht)

Total Scholarship Value

  • Thai Scholarship: 464,800 baht/scholarship
  • International Scholarship: 575,300 baht/scholarship

3. Scholarship Conditions:

  1. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for MAIDS admission AND be admitted to the MAIDS program.
  2. SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to graduate within the prescribed 12 month period (excluding the pre-session course). Students who are required to enroll in additional semester(s) will have to bear the additional cost of living and tuition fees.
  3. SCG Foundation Scholars must not be employed – either part-time or full-time – during their studies/scholarship tenure.
  4. Following graduation, SCG Foundation Scholars are expected to return to work for their home governments for a period of two years.

4. MAIDS Program Admission Requirements:

I) Entry Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the social sciences with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
  • Applicants should also have 2 years work experience in a related field. Mature students, junior to mid-level government officials with experience in development are encouraged to apply.

II) English Language Requirements

Candidates will be required to demonstrate an acceptable level of language proficiency. Applicants should have achieved an English language score of at least 6.0 on the British Council IELTS, 550 in the paper-based TOEFL, 213 in the computer-based TOEFL, or 550 in CU-TEP (Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency). These three above-mentioned tests are the only ones excepted by Chulalongkorn University. Please also note English tests scores must be less than two years old at the time of application.

Please note that these scores, although a minimum requirement for admission, do not guarantee successful admission or completion of the program. The candidate should feel comfortable writing graduate-level academic essays and participating in class discussions in English.

5. Recruitment Procedure:

  • Application Deadline: March 31st, 2010
  • Preliminary Applicant Screening: April 2010
  • Short-listed Candidate Interviews: April/May 2010
  • Final Selection: June 2010
  • Pre-session Course for Selected Students: August/September 2010
  • Program Commencement:  October 2010

6. Application Procedure:

I) Application period

As stated above, MAIDS scholarship applications are due March 31st , 2010.

II) Required Materials

Students applying for the Master of Arts in International Development Studies must submit the following materials:

•  Application Forms: The application form can be downloaded here. Please complete the form, either by typing or writing clearly in block letters.

•  Transcripts: Applicants must submit an original or certified copy of their transcript from the college or university previously attended. Transcripts that are not in Thai or English must be translated and certified in the English language.

If you are currently enrolled in an academic programme, please submit an official report of your current mid-term grades.  You can send your final grades at a later date when they become available.

•  Photocopy of previous degree(s)

•  English language test scores (if applicable): The programme accepts photocopies of English test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, CU-TEP) for the application process. Please note, however, that the admitted students will have to present the original score record to Chulalongkorn University at the beginning of the academic year.

Alternatively, the student can have ETS, the company that administers TOEFL, send the score directly to the programme. Chulalongkorn University ’s TOEFL institutional code is 0227. The MAIDS programme does not have a departmental code registered with ETS, so make sure to write clearly “M.A. in International Development Studies, Faculty of Political Science” on the score report request form.

•  Letters of recommendation: Applicants are required to ask two instructors or employers familiar with their work to send sealed letters of recommendation with letterhead and original signatures. Please also provide the following reference form to your referees and ask them to fill it out:

Please provide your referees with the above form and ask for a confidential reference to be returned to you in a signed and sealed envelope. Please return the unopened envelope to the MAIDS Office with the application form. The referee also has the option of sending the reference directly to the MAIDS Office.

• Curriculum Vitae/Resume: The resume must provide information on current and past employment, academic awards and scholarships, international travel, publications, and extracurricular activities, including volunteer work.

•  Statement of Purpose: The statement of purpose should be between 600 and 1000 words, and include the following elements:

- Describe your most valued experience or accomplishment.
- Describe your research interests, and outline a tentative topic for your M.A. thesis.
- Describe your career expectations (personal and professional objectives), and explain how the M.A. in International Development Studies at Chulalongkorn will help you achieve these goals.

•  Writing Sample: The MAIDS programme requires all applicants to submit a sample of their critical or analytical writing. This may be a paper written for an undergraduate course, a published academic or journalistic article, or another appropriate writing sample. Applicants should briefly explain – using a separate document – the context in which the sample was originally written, including information on the nature of the publication in which it appeared, and the date of publication.

The objective of the sample writing is to assess the applicants’ analytical and writing skills. The ability to write clearly in English – both for native and non-native speakers – is essential to fulfill the written requirements for this M.A. programme in International Development Studies.

•  Photocopy of ID Card (for Thai applicants) or passport (for non-Thai applicant) .

•  Two photographs: Applicants must submit two recent one inch photographs.

•  Application fee: There is a non-refundable application fee of 800 Thai baht .

The fees can be paid in cash at the MAIDS office, or deposited directly in the programme’s bank account (see details below). If the money is transferred to the programme’s account the applicant must submit a photocopy of the bank transfer receipt with the application. Applicants who are not in Thailand must pay the fee in one of the two following ways:

  • By sending us a Bank Draft of 950 Baht total (800 Baht application fee plus 150 Baht bank charge)
  • By completing a SWIFT or Telegraphic Transfer of 1,100 Baht total (800 Baht application fee plus 300 Baht bank charge)

Please note that the programme will not begin to process any application until the reception of the application fee has been confirmed.

Applicant Interviews

The MAIDS admissions team may decide to interview applicants by phone or in person if it is viewed as necessary. The purpose of the interview is usually to ensure that students have an adaquate understanding of development issues combined with an appropriate level of English language proficiency to complete their M.A. degree within the prescribed 12-month period.

Please note that the MAIDS admissions team will inform those students requiring after the application deadline.

MAIDS Pre-Session

Shortlisted students who are accepted to the programme following their interview may also be required to participate in a four-week intensive introductory session in Bangkok prior to the beginning of classes in October. This session will cost approximately 15,000 baht and will include classes in the following areas: Academic English, Research Methods and Development Theory.

Acceptance of Admission

Successful scholars will be notified whether or not they must attend the pre-session at the same time they are notified of their scholarship status (see above timeline). If the pre-session is not required, scholars may come to Thailand in early September 2010 to settle in Bangkok. The MAIDS program will begin the first week of October 2010.
